BILL FIXES THE MOMOHOME

The air conditioner was making a funny noise so Bill went on top of the motorhome to check it out.  Seems a paper on the motor or compressor or something inside had come loose and was being hit by the fan blades everytime they spun around it.  Annoying and scary (thinking repair dollars!); it turned out to be a small job for Repairman Bill!  Thanks honey!

4th of JULY at the Lyell's Home

Julianna and Andrew hosted family and friends for the fourth. We enjoyed margaritas, snacks, and barbecue in the back yard and at dusk moved to the front yard to enjoy fireworks - both the sane type purchased at local stands and the illegal ones which burst in the sky all around us from all over the neighborhood.

On our way over to their house, we stopped to purchase some fireworks for later in the evening. Wendy and Jesse helped record the moment by posing for photographs.  Smile!

Good Job Jesse!
Grandma Barbara (aka Bowl4bm) with grandson Quest and nephew Stewart
Grandpa Jeff holds newest addition to his growing family, granddaughter Eleanora Rose. LJ (short for Little Jeff - a name he earned when he was just little) demonstrates his juggling skill for Stewart - who was amazed, of course!

Visiting and enjoying everyone's company...

In the front yard, ready for the fireworks:

Eleanora Wickham and Amber Clark
Scott and Debbie Clark
Kids and Sparklers!!!  Yeah!

I tried to get a picture of all the kids with their sparklers, but it proved to be impossible to get them all lit and facing the camera at the same time.  Oh well. A great time was had by all and our fireworks extravaganza topped any prior years...of course.

And just one of the pretty displays:

Beverly Hills Permit Center

This is the front desk of the permit center - where Jill now spends her mornings covering an unfilled position. The following photos are to the left and right of the information desk.  The permit center was remodeled from October 2007-October 2008 to look more like the first floor of City Hall (which has been renumbered now to the second floor.  The old entrance and first floor were used in the Beverly Hills cops movies....
Looking left
and right... hard to see but there are counters beyond the seated desks that have 3 computers for transportation department (ticket appeals, parking permits) and on the other side, the same for Planners, Plan Review and Building Inspectors to meet with the public.  The floor is actually cement but a special process with inlay to imitate the marble floors that are upstairs.

MOSS LANDING

We enjoyed time with our

Central Coast and Central Valley - California RV.NET friends! Judy gave
us Mermaids on our drinks. I got a blue one and I just love it, she rides on the dash board of my car and makes me smile every morning!
Lee, Shelia & Brianna Brandt
were here from Tennessee. YAY.
We hated to return home.

CELEBRATING WENDY'S GRADUATION

The weekend following graduation, we hosted a party at home to celebrate with family and friends. The Bounce was quite a hit with children of all ages!!! The margarita machine got emptied and later into the evening we played Wendy's version of "Celebrity" boys against the girls.  Lots of giggles and a promise for a rematch!!
Jesse enjoyed teasing Rosslyn (and she enjoyed it too!)....

Yes, Joe is gaining years and is now a GRANDPA!
I won't say he's old yet because what would that make me?

Christina with Baby Logan Edwards

Lots of smiles in the jumper:
Liz and Wendy!!
BABY Conner Chadd
Mikaela Jumps Too!
Even Grandma Jill gave it a go! (youch!)
Just one of Wendy's JUMPS FOR JOY!!
I wish I had more photos of the antics that occurred during our game-playing:
Wendy and Jenny sharing laughs playing Celebrity!
Matt trying to guess... Rematch!!!

CAL WESTERN SCHOOL

OF LAW

We had a great time with the family at graduation, and after lunch at the Cheesecake Factory
we headed for home. Since graduation was on Monday, we held a party to celebrate Wendy's accomplishment the following weekend at home.

TEAM FLAMINGO ROCKS THE MS WALK

Once again we joined our dear flamingo-happy friends (that would be the Fine-Feathered Friends of Floyd) and walked to raise funds to fight MS at Legoland in Carlsbad, California. Thanks to family and friends who were able to help support our effort with donations. We couldn't do it without you.

WHERE DID APRIL GO?

Early April - RV.NET Rally

AND - Matthew's Surprise Birthday Party with family and friends.

Hmm. Bill and Jill attended the RV.NET rally at Canyons RV Park in Anaheim/Yorba Linda area. Bill cooked banana pancakes (yum) and sat through the loooong gift exchange game. We also enjoyed our son's Surprise Birthday party at Irish Mist in Huntington Beach.
