What a wonderful party!!! Jerry King outdid herself in finding a perfect location for Al's retirement celebration.

A wonderful location (Lucy's El Patio in Capo Beach), great music, delicious food & beer, fun and laughter combined to make this afternoon and early evening a wonderful experience for everyone able to attend. Al and George's demonstration of the Reef "bladder" sandal (mini flask?) was memorable. Thanks Al & Jerry for inviting us to share with you. We had a wonderful time.

ANNUAL VISIT TO PISMO BEACH

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Pismo Coast Village with friends and family. This year Matthew, Jenny and  Mikaela joined us, bringing their toy hauler trailer and camping at PCV too.  One of the loveliest sunsets we've experienced in a while, taken at the campground looking over the canal that runs into the ocean:

One afternoon there was a really low tide and we were able to walk way down the beach to "below sea level" and it was so neat, like walking on a mirror - Matt's dog, Bodie, had a great time running on the sand:

Here are some of our friends who were camping with us:

What a wonderful way to spend the first holiday of the year - a 3-day weekend at Pismo Coast Village. We visited the butterfly preserve, and had lunch out at the pier twice.  We had dinner at Finn's and enjoyed it a lot!  We also enjoyed a wonderful Korean meal prepared by Soon Parshall. Thank you Soon (and family) for feeding the group. It was delicious.

BILL'S FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR

Ok. This is an easy one - Christmastime is Bill's favorite time of year.  We enjoyed our family time beginning with a late lunch on Christmas Eve and then the  Wickham (Jill's siblings and families) gathering at Jeff's in Riverside; Rosslyn and Stewart's excitement Christmas morning at their house as they opened their gifts; breakfast and more gift exchange at our home followed by playing, playing, playing and a yummy turkey dinner together.

MORE CHRISTMAS FUN & PHOTOS

Family Pictionary (our version) is always good for laughter and fun! Jesse tried to convey "goosebumps"  ... we had a hard time getting it.

Not sure what Bill was drawing, but it sure cracked us up and I grabbed the camera to document the kids having a great time guessing!
