Oh the sights to see...from a RZR!!

So, we were able to go up into the hills around our home and see some of the homes that truly border on BLM land.  There were a few mud puddles and of course, when I was driving and Bill had just told me if we got into mud to keep going at the same speed, don't stop and don't increase speed, what do I do?  Not see the mud and then panic!  LOL  Our baby isn't pristine (clean) anymore.  BUT, it was fun!

The RZR in its almost factory condition, certainly the cleanest it will ever be - as in before hitting the Dirt!! (and mud)....

And, AFTER:

Oh, I'm sure we will get it way dirtier in the future...
but it is still kinda' sad....

And the views from the ride:
Snow covered peak of Mt. Charleston in distance

The orange home visible about in middle of the photo is
not too far from our house

Looking toward our home - way, way in distance!
(Our neighbor said the home you can see is one with a
permit for exotic animals (Tigers!)) Who knew? I thought
they were a lot farther from us than they are....
We didn't see any animals, but the home sure had a lot of surveillance warnings.

Easter Egg Hunt At Grandpa & Grandma's House

Grandpa enjoys hiding Easter eggs around the front yard for the grandchildren to find.

Our oak tree (Cork) used to be a great hiding spot. It is finally getting so large the cracks don't hold the eggs very well anymore...

But there are other great spots in and around the front of the house!

How to Train Your Dragon 3-D!!

As an extra treat and to celebrate Easter/Spring vacation, we took the grandchildren to see the Dragon movie in 3-d.  We all enjoyed it very much and look forward to the Toy Story 3-d movie when it comes out.

COLORING EASTER EGGS!

Coloring Easter eggs is an annual family tradition.  We started with Julianna and her cousins, Creg, Jeff and Dwayne - many, many years ago - and the tradition continues ... now with our Grandchildren, enjoying each other and family time together.

COME OUT OF THE CLOSET BILL!!

On Sunday we went and helped Rachael and Andy prep their house for move in.  Bill and several of the other husbands of friends and relatives put two coats of paint on the rooms.  I caught Bill inside one of the closets painting away and told him it was time to come out!!  (This picture is for Uncle Jeff)

Bill and Ryan rest and wait for the first coat to dry:

Grandpa Has Visitors...

Matt and Mikaela came by to visit and Mikaela rode the rocking horse that Matt rode when he was her age. Then more visitors arrived! Rosslyn was delivering Girl Scout Cookies. Julianna stayed and visited for a while and cousins Rosslyn and Mikaela played and posed for a picture together!

Mikaela modeled a Mermaid costume that Rosslyn played in when she was about 2-3 and let Grandma take her photo.
Grandma got a nice photo of  Matthew - love the beard!

Can an RV'r be Trailer Trash? SURE!!

We spent a wonderful weekend with friends at Lake San Antonio's Redondo Vista Group Campground. Since it was Valentine's Day over the weekend, we decided to have a themed "Prom".  What could be more fitting than Trailer Trash?  RV Trash?  It didn't matter, we enjoyed coming up with funny decorating ideas and costumes...dinner was road kill stew, dessert was twinkies, ding-dongs, ho-hos etc, and we danced and sang Karaoke.  Judy even arranged some doorprizes, winners were drawn by Kasey - he did a fabulous job! Pictured below are dear friends, Terry & Steve, Judy & Ray and Lee & Shelia. Also pictured is the sugar coma dessert tray created by Judy. Scroll down for more silly photos of friends from rv.net....

GRANDPA SKATES!

On skates after how many years??
What a fun time we had at Skate Depot in Cerritos.  Remembering the "old" days when skate-o-rama was still open in Downey...Bill saw the Beach Boys in concert there in the early 1960s.

Here is Bill with our daughter Julianna and granddaughter,  Rosslyn.  Fun skating!
Below, grandson Stewart gets ready to step onto the skating arena.

And Stewart with his mommy, Julianna!

Our Son-in-law, Andrew, with Rosslyn - sadly our granddaughter closed her eyes right when this was taken:
